Alisa Perren. Assistant Professor (PhD and MA, University of Texas at Austin; BA UCLA). Research interests include media industry studies, television studies, US film and television history, and cultural studies. She is the co-editor of Media Industries: History, Theory, and Method (Wiley-Blackwell, 2009) and Indie Inc.: Miramax, Niche Films, and the Transformation of Hollywood in the 1990s (under contract, University of Texas Press). Her work has appeared in a range of print and online publications, including Film Quarterly, Journal of Film and Video, The Sage Handbook of Media Studies, The Television History Book, and Flow.
