About
Producer and media maker Elizabeth Strickler works as the Associate Director of Georgia State University's Digital Arts Entertainment Lab where she teaches Cross-media Design and Producing Emerging Media. The Digital Arts Entertainment Lab is a multimillion-dollar entertainment research and production facility located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Through industry and university partnerships, DAEL facilitates the creation, testing and marketing of digital media content. Elizabeth received a B.A. in Philosophy from Boston College, a B.S. in Computer Science and an MFA in Digital Filmmaking and Art from Georgia State University. She worked as a programmer for multiple Internet start-up companies before landing in academia.
Elizabeth's narrative and documentary short films focus on atmosphere and the Southern Gothic and have screened in numerous festivals including: The Rhode Island Film Festival, the Atlanta Film Festival, the Rio De Janeiro International Short Film Festival, Aarhaus Festival of Independent Arts Denmark. Her new media work including Runaway:The Game and Time Laps have been presented in the University Film and Video Association's New Media exhibit.
