About
Frank Miller is senior lecturer in theatre within the Communication Department, where he chairs the theatre program committee and advises students in the performance and arts administration programs. He also serves as conference planner for the LGBT Focus Group of the Alliance for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE). Classes he has taught include introduction to the theatre, acting one and two, directing and acting styles for Shakespeare, period drama and Canadian theatre. Georgia State productions he has directed include "Problem child," "How I Learned to Drive," "A Comedy of Errors," "The Baltimore Waltz," "See Bob Run," "The Laramie Project" and the U.S. premiere of "The Monster Trilogy." He also performed in Daniel MacIvor’s solo drama "House" and played Hamm in the Players of GSU production of "Endgame." Professional productions include "The Importance of Being Earnest" for Theatre Gael, "Lend Me a Tenor" for Theatre in the Square and the world premiere of "The Courtship of Carrie Davis" for Southern Poets Theatre. Dr. Miller is the author of "Censored Hollywood" and the recently published "Leading Couples."
